Case Study: 11,500 SF Silicone Roof Coating — GoodYear Tire, Tyler

Since 2020, Pepper Coatings has been servicing GoodYear Tire’s commercial and industrial roofing systems. We have completed silicone roof coating applications on metal R-panel, trapezoid standing seam, and Modified Bitumen (Mod-Bit) roofing systems across Texas and Arkansas.

This commercial roof in Tyler was completed in June of 2021. It is located at 2801 South Southwest Loop 323, at the intersection of S SW Loop 323 and Walton Road — just south of the Sam’s Club and just north of Denver Mattress. The Cascades Country Club sits just to the west.

Pepper Coatings applied a silicone roof coating over the existing 11,500 sq ft rusted R-panel roof and restored the commercial roofing system, making it good as new and reducing the heat load on the building.

Our project scope was to power wash the roof, 3-course all horizontal and skylight seams with nylon mesh and silicone mastic, apply silicone mastic to all penetrations and internal gutters, and finally apply silicone roof coating over the existing R-panel roof.
